The figure of the Mystery is the secret, the hidden knowledge that the Hero must learn in order to succeed where others have failed. In some of the ancient stories, the Mystery was the secret of the Labyrinth that was given to Prince Theseus so that he could navigate his way through the creation of Daedalus for the king of Minos. With this Mystery he was able to defeat the beast.It is this type of 'hidden lore' that "The Mystery" represents.
The Hidden most closely resembles the character of Perthro in the Futhark runes of the Norse.
